Capt. TIM COWLEY
Went to sea in 1962, serving with Blue Star Line, Ellermans and Safmarine, qualifying as Master (Foreign-going) in 1969. Gained 11 years of practical towing and salvage experience with Land & Marine and Salvage Contractors, a member of the International Salvage Union - initially as tugmaster and subsequently as Marine Superintendent then Operations Director.
After setting up a salvage and towage consultancy and broking company in London, he founded MARINT (Offshore Services) Ltd in January 1987 and now oversees operations as Chairman.

MARTIN HUTTON
Well known in the international towage & salvage market, gaining experience initially with Lloyd's Intelligence Department before moving to Overseas Towage & Salvage Co Ltd London in 1968. In 1971 he joined London-based brokers Samuel Stewart as Manager of their salvage and towage department.
In this capacity he was instrumental in significantly expanding the activities of the department, he left the field of towage & salvage broking after 14 years to successfully run his own retail/wholesale business. In 1991 he returned to his original chosen field by joining MARINT .

ANDREW HOLDER
Graduating in Oceanography/Zoology from the University of Swansea in 1988, he took a position as Money Broker with Butler, Harlow & Ueda. He remained in the City for a year before leaving the field of broking and becoming a schoolmaster for six years during which time he established himself as a respected teacher as well as concentrating on his semi-professional career as a rugby player for London Irish and Rosslyn Park.
Contacts made in this field brought him back to broking when he joined MARINT'S Towage and Salvage Department in July 1997. In addition, he is now responsible, with David Hyne-Jones and Henry Mack, for developing the Offshore Chartering Department internationally.

Capt. CHARLES LEERAAR
Went to sea in 1973 and served with S.A. Marine Corp (Safmarine), De Beers Marine and Unicorn Lines, serving on a wide variety of vessels including VLCC's, cable-layers and salvage tugs prior to qualifying as Master (Foreign-going) in 1983. He joined the South African harbour service company Portnet in 1984, serving as Tugmaster, before being promoted to Pilot and subsequently Assistant Operations Manager.
In 1994 he joined Swansea-based West Coast Towing Co. Ltd as Operations Manager, being responsible for the efficient operating of the Company's tug fleet in harbour, coastal and international towing operations.
He joined the MARINT team in August 1999 in the Towage and Salvage Department.

DAVID HYNE-JONES
David started working in the insurance industry as a claims broker negotiating on a daily basis with underwriters in Lloyds of London. He moved into shipping operations, concentrating on the load/discharge & scheduling of various types of vessels. He has worked for a variety of shipping companies, namely OT Africa Line, National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia and Star Reefers. David joined MARINT in April 2009 to further assist Andy Holder in the development of the Offshore Chartering department, whilst also joining the rest of the team on the 24 hour Towage & Salvage duty roster.

HENRY MACK
Henry joined the MARINT team in August 2010 having previously worked for Novoship and then Grimaldi where he worked in the Project & General Cargo Department. He graduated in Shipping Operations from the University in Southampton in 2005 to follow up on his interest in the shipping industry. Henry will assist the 24 hour Towage and Salvage team as well as aid Andy and David to develop the Offshore Chartering department.
